The Story of Our Harvest

PHOENIX DACTYLEFERA

Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as date or date palm, is a flowering plant species in the palm family, Arecaceae, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. Date trees are groomed and maintained year round and they typically reach about 21-23 meters in height. Each tree can produce approximately 150-250 pounds of fruit each harvest!

LABOR OF LOVE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

At Oasis Date Gardens we take pride in what we do. From the farmers, pickers, packers, producers, production and sales team, our experienced staff is committed to providing excellent customer service and high quality fruit that exceed expectations. You can be confident that every month we are working hard to achieve the best harvest possible.

It all begins as we carefully plant and groom each tree for seven years before they are ready to produce fruit. And when our trees have reached full maturation, we tend to each of our trees assiduously via a mix of traditional and innovative growing techniques - all environmentally conscious and efficient.

We combine ancient wisdom and modern technology to grow outstanding dates. We thin our ranches regularly, because more space between trees means more sunlight and more efficient water usage. The results are stunning:

 •   Larger, fleshier and sweeter fruit   •   Abundant crops each and every year   •   Reduced need for water and fertilizer
